PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a 3D object control method thereof are provided to intuitionally control enlargement, reduction, and rotation of the 3D object by operating a 3D control unit with a touch, thereby editing the 3D object with a check of transformation and depth of the 3D object. CONSTITUTION: A display unit displays a 3D object(50). When the 3D object is selected, a control unit displays a 3D operator(51) around the 3D object, and controls rotation and depth of the 3D object according to a touch position and a type of the 3D control unit. A memory stores a set value of the 3D object controlled. The 3D object includes an image, a photograph, a widget, a text, an icon, and a figure. The 3D control unit which includes a type of a circle, a band, and a ring marked a central axis, is formed in order to fit the type of the 3D object.
