PURPOSE: A prototype vehicle body assembly line and a vehicle body assembling method are provided to minimize the deformation of a vehicle body occurred in each transferring process and reduce the whole time for the assembling of a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: A prototype vehicle body assembly line(20) comprises first, second, and third under body assembly stages(30, 40, 50), first, second, and third main body assembly stages(70, 80, 90), a final take-out stage(100), and a trolley(22). The trolley supports a vehicle body in assembling processes while moving the vehicle body to each stage. Each stage comprises a feed roller(24a, 24b, 24c, 24d, 24e, 24f, 24g, 24h) and a lift. A transferring roller supports the rotation of the trolley. The lift is installed on the bottom of each stage and supports the transferring roller to be lifted. |
