PURPOSE: A coolant collecting device and a method thereof are provided to increase the recycling rate of coolant by preventing the mixing of high purity coolant and low purity coolant by separately collecting coolant according to the purity of the coolant. CONSTITUTION: A coolant collecting device comprises a purity analyzer(15). The purity analyzer measures the purity of high pressure waste coolant discharged from a heat exchanger. The coolant analyzed by the purity analyzer is stored in each container following the measured purity.
