PURPOSE: A driving apparatus for an electromotive wheel chair capable of miniaturizing is provided to enable users to easily change a driving mode of the driving apparatus from a manual mode to an electronic mode. CONSTITUTION: A driving apparatus for an electromotive wheel chair comprises the following: a housing(110) installed on the upper side of a hub-spoke of the electromotive wheel chair; a motor unit(120) inserted into the housing for generating driving force; a connection frame(140) installed on a speed reduction gear, and detachably connected to a body of the electromotive wheel chair; a motor located inside the housing; a motor shaft inserted into the motor; a driver located on one side of the motor for controlling the motor; a motor adapter fixed to a stator of the motor for connecting the motor to a speed reducing gear(130); first and second motor shafts located on front and rear sides of the motor; a manual-electric conversion unit(150) separating the speed reducing gear and the motor unit for changing the operation of the speed reducing gear; and an attaching and detaching unit moving a manual-electric detaching pin for separating the connection frame from the body of the electromotive wheel chair.
