PURPOSE: An inverter booster pump system equipped with pumps in a row and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption as the pumps are optimally maintained with same output. CONSTITUTION: An inverter booster pump system comprises an pressure sensor(30), a pump unit(70), and a control unit(40). The pressure sensor measures the pressure of a supply pipe. The pump unit comprises a plurality of pumps connected in a row, and provides discharge power to the supply pipe. The control unit comprises an inverter and a controller. The inverter changes the driving frequency of each pump. The controller controls the pump unit.
