PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device having improved damping property by effectively damping quake without causing buckling even in large deformation. SOLUTION: A cylindrically-shaped laminated elastic body 16 is arranged between a pair of connection plates 12, 14. The laminated elastic body 16 consists of rubber rings 18 ring-shaped to be elastically deformable and metal plates 20 disc-shaped to maintain rigidity, both of which are laminated and arranged alternately in several ones along a vertical direction X. At central portions of the rubber rings 18 in the laminated elastic body 16, disc damping materials 24 are arranged, respectively, which have improved damping performance. The damping materials 24 are each formed by mixing a hard and approximately spherical filler 26 and a highly viscous and polymeric plastic fluid material 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
