The method involves generating a long switching sequence from a short switching sequence for a rotational electrical machine (1). Output variables of the electrical machine for the long switching sequence are calculated on basis of switching transitions of the switching sequence. The long switching sequence is rejected if the calculated output variables are not present within predefined limits and/or calculated output variables are removed from a predefined limit when time increases. The switching sequences are iteratively generated from unrejected switching sequences. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor system comprising an electrical converter including a controller (2) a computer program for performing a method for operating a rotational electrical machine (3) a computer readable medium storing a computer program for performing a method for operating a rotational electrical machine. |
