PURPOSE: A vehicle panel assembly and a mounting method thereof are provided to minimize noise transferred to the inner side from the outside of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle panel assembly(10) comprises a main panel member(22), a noise damping patch(24), a noise damping layer(26), and a plurality of welding joints(20). The main panel member is mounted in the structural members(14, 18) of a vehicle. The main panel member comprises an acoustic active zone(32) exposed to noise and vibration source. The noise damping patch is mounted in the main panel member to reduce noise and vibration and noise in the acoustic active zone and the main panel member by being attached in the main panel member. The noise damping layer comprises one or more welding openings(40, 42) and covers some portion of the acoustic active zone of the main panel member. The welding joints are formed in the welding openings. |
