METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DOWNLINK SIGNAL IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a downlink signal in a mobile communication system are provided to improve a data transfer rate by designing a frame structure for a down link which is optimized in a micro cell in the mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: Signals are generated for one or more short symbols comprising a second sub frame in a different frequency domain from a first sub frame and a plurality of long symbols comprising a longer time interval than that of the short symbol. The signals are generated in the same time domain as the first sub frame for a large cell. The signals are transmitted corresponding to the short symbol and the long symbol in a preset location of the second sub frame. A signal section for a cyclic prefix and a downlink signal section for the signal are divided for the short symbol and the long symbol.
