PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to reduce assembling time, to reduce material cost, to prevent leakage of electrolyte solution, and to prevent current leakage. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises a case(110) with an inner space and an opening, an electrode assembly inserted into the case, at least one current collector combined to an uncoated part of the electrode assembly, having an electrode terminal in a direction the electrode assembly is inserted, and a cap plate(150) combined to seal the opening of the case. On one side of the case, a coupling groove(112) which is depressed toward at least one of the current collectors is formed. The coupling groove is formed to correspond with a positive current collector of the current collectors.
