A method for ensuring that pointers on analogue timepieces do not collide during operation. First and second pointers rotate through two areas which overlap at an intersection area. When the target positions of the pointers are both in the intersection area one of the pointers is moved to a second target area so that only one of the pointers occupies the intersection area. |
