PURPOSE: A portable Device for storing a personal health record and a controlling method thereof are provided to safely manage the personal health record with a user, thereby increasing applicability of the personal health record and convenience of use. CONSTITUTION: A connection unit(10) is connected to a personal terminal, and provides a movement path of data and power supply. A main printed circuit board(30) is connected to the connection unit, and fixes components, and transmits electric signals by a printed circuit. A security module(40) is installed in the main printed circuit board, and determines whether a user is authenticated through body information of the user. A communication module(50) is installed in the main printed circuit board, and receives measurement data by local area wireless communication and a measurement device measuring a health state of a personal. A storage module(60) is installed in the main printed circuit board, and stores the data.
