A pillow case, cover or slip comprises a pouch made from a material having a ribbed profile so as to form a plurality of channels allowing air circulation and moisture dispersal on both inner and outer sides of the pouch. An outer pillowcase 3 may be provided. The pillowcase is preferably a washable fabric such as woven cotton. In use, heat and moisture generated by the user 4 and reflected back from the pillow 5 collects in the fabric ribs and channels. Head movement 6 results in collected warm, moist air being expelled 7 and cooler, drier air to be drawn in 8. If the pillow is turned over by the user as they sleep, any subsequent movement continues the process of expelling warm, moist air from around the pillow. |
