<p>PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing carbon compact is provided to prevent the sticking phenomenon of the carbon compact from a pressing mold by mixing a releasing agent with the mixture of carbon powder and a phenol resin. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing carbon compact includes the following: carbon powder is prepared by pulverizing cokes or charcoal; 70-80 weight% of the carbon powder is mixed with 20-30 weight% of a phenol resin to prepare a primary mixture; 1-3 parts by weight of a releasing agent is mixed with 100 parts by weight of the primary mixture to prepare a secondary mixture; the secondary mixture is introduced into a pressing mold; the pressing mold is heated to a temperature between 130 and 180 deg C using a heating unit and pressurizes the mixture under a pressure of 350-400 kgf/cm^2 to prepare carbon compact; and the carbon compact is released from the pressing mold.
