A device and a method for drawing a line are provided to draw a line with a thickness determined according to a distance a mouse is moved to represent various fonts and naturally process the start portion and the end portion of a line. A device for drawing a line using a mouse(160) includes a line thickness processor(170) and a controller(110). The line thickness processor sets the thickness of a line according to the position movement of the mouse and draws the line in the set thickness on a portion corresponding to the distance the mouse is moved. The controller transmits information on a clicking operation of the mouse and the position movement of the mouse to the line thickness processor and controls the line thickness processor to draw the line in the set thickness. |
