The pump housing (1) has a pump impeller driven by an electric motor connected to a motor housing (8) attached to a terminal box (12) made of plastic for accommodating the electrical and/or electronic components of motor. The motor-side grounding contact is arranged outside the terminal box. The grounding contact is electrically conductive with a ground contact of the plug or socket (34) and is connected to the conductor in interior of terminal box, such that electrical connection between motor housing and ground contact is formed outside the terminal box.
