PURPOSE: A wood supporting part repairing method for a self-standing storage tank of a liquid cargo ship and a wood supporting device used for the method are provided to repair a wood supporting part for supporting a self-standing storage tank of a liquid cargo ship without lifting the self-standing storage tank. CONSTITUTION: A wood supporting part repairing method for a self-standing storage tank of a liquid cargo ship is as follows. A changed supporting portion to be changed is cut in a wood supporting part. The cut changed supporting portion is removed. An alternative supporting portion properly machined according to the size of the changed supporting portion is fitted in a portion where the changed supporting portion is removed. A retention frame for preventing the movement of the alternative supporting portion is installed in the outside of the alternative supporting portion.
