摘要 PURPOSE: A system and a method for measuring flight information of a spherical object based on a CMOS sensor are provided to selectively photograph a portion of an object and obtain flight information with a small number of photographings. CONSTITUTION: A system for measuring flight information of a spherical object comprises a trigger signal generating unit(110), a photographing unit(130), a photographing control unit(120), and an information measuring unit(140). The photographing unit photographs a target area by activating a plurality of unit pixels constituting a two-dimensional pixel array of a CMOS image sensor. The photographing control unit selectively activates unit pixels included in each area divided based on the movement of a spherical object flying in the target area according to trigger signals. The information measuring unit detects the spherical object included in images successively outputted from the photographing unit and outputs flight information including the flight speed vector and the rotation speed vector of the spherical object.
