<p>The invention relates to a method for forming a preformed end piece for use in the manufacture of a container, wherein the end piece has an inlet and an outlet and an intermediate portion extending from the inlet to the outlet,
wherein the outlet is narrower than the inlet, and wherein the inlet has a surface for the attachment of a container wall,
the method comprising:
a) providing in a mould an annular insert comprising a layer of metal foil;
b) injecting a polymeric material into the mould and onto the annular insert to form the end piece, whereby the annular insert extends across the intermediate portion.</p> |
