PURPOSE: A spherical electrode is provided to maximize the performance of an electrolytic system and to ensure the compaction of the electrolytic system since the spherical electrode has an electrode surface area of maximum 100 m per electrolytic cell volume of 1 m^3. CONSTITUTION: A spherical electrode(400) includes an ion exchange resin substrate(410), and a first electrode layer(420) coated on the ion exchange resin substrate. The electrode has a form selected from spheres, granules, beads, grains, and fiber. The electrochemical cell includes the ion exchange resin substrate, the first electrode layer coated on the ion exchange resin substrate, and a second electrode layer coated on the ion exchange resin substrate. |
