PURPOSE: A flap opening control system and a method thereof for the freezing of a flap are provided for the smooth opening and closing of a flap in case the flap is frozen. CONSTITUTION: A flap opening control system for the freezing of a flap comprises a first sensing unit(100), a second sensing unit(200), and a control unit(300). The first sensing unit senses the temperature of coolant. The second sensing unit senses the temperature of outside. The control unit controls the opening and the closing of a flap(400) based on the data sensed by the first sensing unit even though the flap is frozen.
