The invention relates to a continuously variable transmission system allowing the power transmission from a rotary disc to another. Said rotary disc is furnished with radially-arranged rods having an external thread and a runner radially moving along said rods. A ring (nut) is externally rotating on the rods to entrain the runner and change, thus, the radial distance of this last from the rotary shaft and, consequently, the runner’s linear velocity. Being adjacent to the runner, the belt transmitting the motion from one disc to another changes its linear velocity and follows the linear velocity of the runner. The sliding of the runner lengthwise the rods incites changes in the transmission ratio. |
