REMOTE INTERACTIVE ADAPTOR, SENSORS AND CONTROL UNITS

The remote interactive adaptor interconnected with wired and/or wireless analog and/or digital sensor and control units and is configured in an ad hoc manner and/or can be reconfigured and upgraded by polling and receiving update files from a designated application server at programmable time intervals. The adaptor receives, registers, processes, tags and inserts in IP packets the information received from the sensor units and sends the IP packets to the application server and inter-connectedly issues instructions to the command units. The adaptor due to its proactive periodic polling operation exercises a master role in the communication process with the application server. Due to the adaptor's proactive role the application server is not required to know the IP network address of the sensor and/or control units with which the adaptor is connected and the adaptor can enter into 'power save' mode when idle.
