Producing a composition for aqueous paint, comprises mixing, in an aqueous phase, a titanium dioxide pigment in the form of particles coated with at least one aluminum compound and at least one linear, branched or unsaturated 8-24C fatty acid metal salt, where the weight percentage of fatty acid metal salt with respect to the titanium dioxide is 0.01-5%. Independent claims are included for: (1) a powder mixture for preparing a composition comprising a titanium dioxide pigment in the form of coated particles with at least one aluminum compound and at least one linear, branched or unsaturated 8-24C fatty acid metal salt; (2) an assembly for preparing a composition comprising a first powder composition containing the pigment titanium dioxide and a second powder composition containing the fatty acid metal salts containing 8-24C; and (3) preparation of an aqueous paint from the assembly, comprising dissolving a second powder composition in water, and mixing the resulting solution with the first composition powder.
