<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorescent particle that is suitable for producing ink and suitably functions in applications of barcode symbols and code marks. <P>SOLUTION: This infrared fluorescent particle includes a metal phosphate represented by A<SB POS="POST">y</SB>Er<SB POS="POST">x</SB>Yb<SB POS="POST">s</SB>Y<SB POS="POST">1-x-y-s</SB>PO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, wherein A is at least one alkali metal element selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs; y is 0.001-0.01; x is 0.001-0.1; and s is 0.1-0.5, and has a wavelength of a fluorescence spectrum in the range of 800-2,000 nm and afterglow duration of 10 ms or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
