<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit whether or not to permit installation of software depending on a destination of an image forming apparatus, and to allow a user having normal license information to perform installation even to an image forming apparatus of a non-permitted destination. <P>SOLUTION: When an execution instruction of installation is received, a package for distribution is acquired, and when it is determined that a destination code is pertinent to a destination code indicated by destination information provided in the acquired package for distribution, software provided in the package for distribution is installed.
