<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more appropriately adjust the timing to discharge liquid onto wavy paper. <P>SOLUTION: By multiplying reference flying time Tfo by carriage speed Vc, an ink droplet range La in the horizontal direction for the reference flying time Tfo is calculated (S320, 330). By using the calculated range La, a position Xa of a target landing position An is set (S340). A distance Gp between a head and paper in the position Xa is acquired by referring to a table of a distance between the head and paper measured in previous pass, to calculate actual flying time Ta (350, S360). A difference between the calculated actual flying time Ta and the reference flying time Tfo is calculated as correction time Twn and is output (S370, 380), and discharge timing for discharging ink droplets is delayed only by the output correction time Twn. Thus, the distance Gp between the head and paper in the target landing position An can be accurately acquired and based on the more accurate correction time Twn, the discharge timing can be adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
