The present invention provides a method for causing plant cells or a plant to stably accumulate a desired protein, and a transgenic plant caused to accumulate a protein. This method for causing a plant cell to accumulate protein is characterized in that a gene for coding a target protein having an intracellular membrane localization signal on the N terminus and a vacuolar localization signal on the C terminus is expressed in a multiple variant in which myrosin cells lacking an endogenous vacuolar protein are present in a plant elsewhere than around the vascular bundle; and the target protein or a protein lacking the N terminus region of the target protein is caused to accumulate in the myrosin cells in the multiple variant.
