The housing (100) has a base (10) having an upper surface in which a mounting portion (14) for mounting electronic components is provided. A head section (70) is arranged on the base and is made to surround the mounting portion. A glass layer (20) is arranged between the head section and base. The glass layer is made of alkali-titanium silicate glass. A terminal section (30) is secured at edge side of the base. An independent claim is included for electronic component.
