<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not resources of a computer system are insufficient in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: A resource allocation determination device includes: an input part 401 for acquiring BIOS setting information 300 and identification information of an extension I/O card connected to a computer system; a resource dictionary 405 for storing the identification information of the extension I/O card and the information of a resource amount to be required by the extension I/O card; a calculation part 402 for retrieving a corresponding entry of the resource dictionary 405 from the acquired BIOS setting information 300 and the identification information of the extension I/O card, obtaining the information of the resource amount, and calculating the resource amount to be required by the entire system; a comparison part 403 for comparing the resource amount usable by the system and the calculated resource amount, and determining whether or not resources are to be insufficient; and a display part 404 for displaying an alarm message when determining resource insufficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
