<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scintillator single crystal of a cerium-doped silicate compound, particularly a scintillator single crystal that uses as Ln at least one element selected from the group consisting of Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Y and Sc having an ionic radius smaller than Tb, the scintillator single crystal having superior fluorescent properties. <P>SOLUTION: A scintillator single crystal of a specific cerium-doped silicate compound that contains 0.00005 to 0.1 mass% of one or more element selected from the group consisting of elements that belong to group 2 of the periodic table based on the total weight of the single crystal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
