<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate removal of abrasion powder in a moving handrail, the powder entering a gap between a handrail guide rail and a balustrade frame. <P>SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor balustrade cleaning apparatus 40 includes: a rotary brush 42 for raking out the abrasion powder in the moving handrail 14, which enters the delta gap formed between a corner part of the handrail guide rail 33 and a top surface 32a of the balustrade frame 32; a suction removing device 66 for removing the abrasion powder which is raked out; and a pair of support rollers 68a, 68b rotating while supporting the rotary brush 42 and the suction removing device 66 on the moving handrail 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
