<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct drive motor capable of having a flat structure while suppressing footprints. <P>SOLUTION: A motor rotor comprises: a motor portion 2 for adding rotation torque to an output shaft S; a bearing 4 for rotatably supporting the output shaft S; a rotation detector (a resolver) 6 for detecting a rotation state of the motor portion 2; and a housing 8 for positioning and fixing the motor portion 2, the bearing 4, and the rotation detector 6 so as to be aligned in an output shaft direction to a motor installation surface B. The motor portion 2 is configured by a stator 2a which is always kept in a stationary state, and a rotator 2b which is arranged rotatably and oppositely to the stator 2a. The housing 8 has a motor housing 8a to which the stator 2a is fixed, and a motor rotor 8b to which the rotator 2b is fixed; and has a generally cylindrical double structure in which the motor housing 8a and the motor rotor 8b are coaxially arranged.
