<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide support structure of a liquid-crystal display panel which suppresses deficiencies in the support structure, and a formation method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A resist for forming support structure and a spacer (resin ball) with a different specific gravity from that of the resist are mixed together and simultaneously the mixed resist is applied to a film substrate, before the spacer and the substrate are firmly fixed first.
