The device has a hinged cover (1) pivotable between closed position and open position by rotation along a rotation axis. A leaf spring (2) is engaged with the hinged cover by spring force, where the spring is axially fixed at an end position of the hinged cover so that the hinged cover is fixed at the open position by the action of the spring force. Two ends of the leaf spring are rotatably supported, where a stop in a form of a tab (4) is provided for limiting the motion of the leaf spring such that the transition point of the leaf spring is not reached.
