The freewheel (1) has leading ramps (6) rising in circumferential direction, and bars (8) arranged at a receiving sleeve (2) e.g. outer sleeve (4). Spring elements (9) impinge pinch rolls (7) against the leading ramps, and are arranged between the pinch rolls and the bars. The receiving sleeve is formed of a deep-drawn pot, and the bars are separated from a pot base and passed parallel to a circumference of the receiving sleeve. A radial annular rim (10) is provided at circumference of the receiving sleeve. Axial length of the folded bars is extended by a thinning part. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a pinch roll freewheel.
