Provided is a communication stability assessment method in a network unit which configures a communication network system. The communication stability assessment method comprises: a step (S104) which communicates, making a communication speed of the network unit a speed which is increased by a prescribed quantity during a prescribed interval from a prescribed time while the network unit is in communication; a step (S108) which measures a number of communication error occurrences in the prescribed interval; and a step (S112) which displays on a display part of the network unit that a communication state is unstable on the basis of a size relationship between the number of occurrences and a prescribed threshold.
