A power frequency modulation high frequency HID electronic ballast mainly comprises a power filter circuit, a rectification filter circuit, a high frequency switching circuit and an HID lamp load. One end of the power filter circuit is connected to a power input end, and the other end is connected to the high frequency switching circuit through the rectification filter circuit. The high frequency switching circuit is connected to the HID lamp load. An inductance choke circuit is further connected between the high frequency switching circuit and the HID lamp load, a power frequency modulation control circuit is further connected to the power filter circuit, and the power frequency modulation control circuit is connected to the inductance choke circuit. In the present invention, a high frequency winding coil and a low frequency winding coil are added to the inductance choke circuit, the high frequency winding coil and the low frequency winding coil are connected in series or in parallel with a power input of 50 to 60 Hz, and high and low frequency processing and high and low voltage processing are performed on the high frequency winding coil and the low frequency winding coil, so that a power frequency current of 50 to 60 Hz is superimposed on the high frequency current output of the inductance choke circuit to the HID lamp load, thereby completely eliminating the strobe problem of an HID lamp. Compared with the prior art, this solution solves the strobe problem of the HID lamp that cannot be solved by a high frequency electronic ballast, and overcomes the disadvantages of a low frequency electronic ballast such as high cost, low efficiency (less than 90%), poor stability and complex circuitry.
