<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device configured such that the contact condition between a temperature detecting part and an inside surface of a heating belt member is fixedly reproduced despite the repetition of the replacement of the heating belt member with a new one and gloss variation and gloss unevenness of a fixed image are prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature detection part 105 is elastically supported from a stay 102, thereby abutting on the inside surface of a fixing belt 101 at the downstream side of a heating nip N in the direction of rotation of the fixing belt 101. An insertion guide 109 is located at the height of the edge of the fixing belt 101 inserted along a pressure contact member 103 and the stay 102, and guides the temperature detection part 105 to the inside of the fixing belt 101 while interfering with the fixing belt 101. In order to enhance the ability of the fixing belt 101 to follow the inside surface of the fixing belt 101 by reducing its weight, the entire temperature detection part 105 including the insertion guide 109 is integrally molded from a foam resin material in a state where a temperature detection element 105b is embedded on the surface side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
