<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate cell culture by multipronged quantitativity tempered with distribution within population. <P>SOLUTION: By utilizing an image A on culturing cells on a standard medium. an image A' on separately culturing the cells on the same standard medium and an image B on culturing the cells by using a control medium, a plurality of form characteristic amounts for each of the cells are obtained, and for each of the images, a hierarchical clustering is performed to prepare dendrograms. By using the dendrogram obtained from each of the images, the cluster number is set from value 2 one by one, and a X square test between the image A and image A' by using the number of cells for each of the clusters and also the square test between the image A and image B by using the number of cells for each of the clusters are performed. By using the test value, evaluation values are calculated and an optimum number of clusters is set by using the relationship of the number of clusters and evaluation values. By separating the dendrograms of the standard medium to the cluster having the optimum number of the clusters, and alloting the cells cultured in the test medium for each of the clusters, a form cluster ratio profile expressing the relationship of each of the clusters and the abundance ratio of the cells is prepared. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
