<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable polystyrene-based resin particle capable of shortening aging time. <P>SOLUTION: The expandable polystyrene-based resin particle is provided, which has a number of voids with a diameter in the range of 0.1-30 μm, wherein the voids exist such that: (i) 100 or less voids per square millimeter (100 or less voids/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>) exist in a surface region between the surface of the expandable polystyrene-based resin particle and 50 μm from the surface toward the center; (ii) 10-500 voids per square millimeter (10-500 voids/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>) exist in a center region excluding the region between the surface and 200 μm from the surface toward the center; and the number of the voids in the surface region and the number of the voids in the center region is in the range of 1:5-500. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
