<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of enhancing detection accuracy of the coordinate of a contact position on a display section of input means without requiring complicated arithmetic processing. <P>SOLUTION: In a display device 11 which has a transmission type display element 13 and a backlight unit 12, the display element 13 includes a display section 28 having a plurality of pixels, and a detection section 30 which has a sensor section and detects the coordinate of a contact position on the display section 28 of input means A, the backlight unit 12 includes a light source section 15 for irradiating the rear surface side of the display element 13 with planar light, and a transparent electrode layer 17 which has light transmissivity and is positioned in the display element 13 side of the light source section 15, and is arranged while interposing an air layer 19 between the backlight unit 12 and the display element 13, and the detection section 30 detects the coordinate of the contact position of an object based on the input means A in contact with the display section 28 and the coupling capacitance between the transparent electrode layer 17 and the sensor section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
