<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that although a system corresponding to a plurality of different power sources (overhead wire, generator driven by engine, and fuel cell) is proposed as a method that uses the best power supply in the electrified section and each non-electrified section, and according to this, though the train can be operated by the best drive system in the electrified section and each non-electrified section, the starting of the engine and the opportunity of the stop will increase compared with the system of which the former degree to run in non-electrified section, and the reliability of the starter motor to start the engine decreases as a result. <P>SOLUTION: The load of the starter motor is reduced by operating a generator connected to an engine as an electric motor by the power conversion circuit that the drive system possesses, and starting the engine, and the drive system of high reliability is achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
