<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of ensuring predetermined voltage after leaving it untouched for a certain period of self-charging without necessity for charging by external voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A power generation element includes: a pair of electrodes; a spacer disposed with the electrodes spaced from each other; and an intermediate layer formed of pyrrolidinium-based ion liquid provided in a space formed by the electrodes and the spacer.
