<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid execution of an ejection test continuously when cleaning of inspection electrodes is not enough to eliminate occurrence of noises after the cleaning. <P>SOLUTION: When cleaning of the inspection electrodes before execution of integrated determination routine including an ejection test is completed (YES in S12), in a state where a nozzle plate and inspection electrodes are opposed and a voltage is applied between them, electrical change when a liquid is not ejected sequentially from a plurality of nozzles is detected during a predetermined period for decision of obstacles, and the presence or absence of obstacles between them is decided based on the electrical change (S20-S24).
