Disclosed are a method, apparatus and network device for determining network traffic; the method determines the network traffic of an interface by obtaining the data forwarding rate of each interface at each collection time point within a statistical period, storing the obtained data forwarding rate to a storage space, and determining the network traffic of the interface according to each data forwarding rate stored in the storage space. According to the present invention, the data forwarding rate of the interface at each collection time point within the statistical period is obtained and the network traffic is determined according to the obtained data forwarding rate, thus able to effectively prevent the impact caused by short-term burst data on the accuracy of network traffic determination, thereby improving the accuracy of network traffic determination.
