<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a non-operational detector using a photo multiplier without lengthening analysis time and deteriorating accuracy of data, and to monitor applied voltage to be applied to the detector using the photo multiplier in order to guarantee measurement accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply of a photo multiplier is turned off when abnormal output is detected by the photo multiplier to which voltage is applied during stable standby time of a dark signal without increasing AD converters.
