<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping foundation structure capable of performing a more effective vibration damping action while surely bearing a load of a building and capable of reducing damages of the building due to earthquake as possible, while the structure is very simple and can be economically manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: A foundation of a building is constituted of: a base part 1 in a lower part of the foundation; a movable foundation part 2 consisting of a wide base 2a arranged on the upper face of the base part 1 and a rising part 2b on the wide base; and a water stop block 3 arranged on the outer peripheral side of the base part 1 so as to surround the base part 1 and to be positioned below the wide base 2a of the outer peripheral part of the movable foundation part 2. A number of upper base plates 5, 5 ... rollably holding a number of balls 4, 4 ... via a holding plate 5c are fixed on a lower surface of the wide base 2a of the movable foundation part 2, and lower base plates 6, 6 ... facing the upper base plates 5, 5 ... and rollably holding the balls 4, 4 ... on the upper base plates are disposed on the upper surface of the base part 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
