<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water hammer generator which opens a drain valve which has been closed without generating a water hammer, to generate a predetermined water hammer, and thereafter, continues the operation of water hammer generation in the water hammer generator. <P>SOLUTION: The water hammer generator incudes: an aqueduct 3 transmitting water; a water hammer tank 2 communicating to the aqueduct 3; a drain pipe 10 provided at the downstream side of the water hammer tank 2; and a drain valve 4 opening and closing the drain pipe 10. An auxiliary drain pipe 20 communicating to the aqueduct 3 or the water hammer tank 2 is provided at the upstream side of the drain valve 4, and a second water hammer generating means including an opening and closing valve 21 which opens and closes the auxiliary drain pipe 20 is provided at an inlet of the auxiliary drain pipe 20 or on the way thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
