<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which can properly locate an available parking area and perform guidance when a vehicle approaches a destination. <P>SOLUTION: When an own vehicle approaches a destination set based on map data stored in a map data storage unit 30 (S102:YES), an in-vehicle navigation device receives vehicle information including position information and set destination information from another vehicle locating in a predetermined range from the own vehicle (S107). Then, based on the received vehicle information and the map data, the device locates an available parking area to create parking area data (S108), and perform guidance of the available parking area based on the parking area data (S110). Thus, when the own vehicle approaches the destination, the device locates an available parking area based on the vehicle information transmitted from the other vehicle, so that it is possible to properly locate an available parking area and perform guidance to improve convenience. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
